TungstenCへアプリ（30） 〜ChemTable

freeware PalmOSで見つけたChemTable v2.23をTungstenCへインストールしました。

元素周期律表のアプリです。学生のころは周期律表の本や理化学辞典を毎日のように参照してましたので、当時T|C＋ChemTableがあればどれほど便利だったろうと思います。最近ではたまに調べる程度ですが、常に携行するT|Cに入れておけば何かのときに役立ってくれることでしょう。

表の全体（左右2分割）

使い方は極めて単純です。ChemTableを起動すると、周期律表の左半分が表示されます。

そして三角マークをタップすると、右半分が表示されます。

全体の表に関してはこれだけです。

元素を１つ選ぶ

試しに硫黄（Sulfur）を引いてみましょう（今日の画像）。温泉に行くと硫黄のにおいがしますから、理系な人に限らずお馴染みな元素かと思います。（と書いてますと、熊本の阿蘇山に行ったときに強いにおいがしたのを思い出しました）
元素記号であるSをタップするだけです。すると、原子番号16であることの他に、原子量、電子配置、融点、沸点、密度、イオン化エネルギー、、など多くのデータが表示されます。
お仕事で、あるいは物理化学の勉強などでお使いになってはいかがでしょうか。

ChemTable is a freeware Periodic Table application that runs on monochrome Palm OS handhelds.
The program is quite straightforward to use. Tapping on any of the element boxes in the Periodic Table will bring up a dialog showing a list of physical/chemical properties.
In the Options menu, you can choose to display either element symbols or atomic numbers in the table. You can also select a subset of the elements for display (Transition Metals, Halogens, Noble Gases, etc).
Only half of the Periodic Table can be viewed at a time. To switch between the two sections, click on the left or right arrow buttons.
